Practice information

  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled time.

  • Sessions start and finish promptly.

  • Dress appropriately and be prepared to get a little wet. Change facilities are available on site.

  • Eyeglasses and jewellery should be secured to prevent loss.

  • Water bottles are recommended for on water. Harder refreshments, if desired, are a good idea for after practice strategy sessions.

  • Upon arrival check bulletin board for your boat number and assemble by your boat number sign. Your coach will meet you there.

  • All equipment and instruction is provided. Having lifejackets aboard is mandatory.

  • Leave all equipment in the boat when you finish your session unless otherwise notified.

  • To maximize your fun and performance have crew members attend all practices.

  • If you are providing your own steer person appoint someone who has some sailing or boating experience. This person should definitely attend all practice sessions.

  • You will need a drummer, with a big voice.

  • Sessions are held rain or shine.

  • The Kingston Rowing Club is a nonsmoking environment.
